NMMC Commissioner Abhijit Bangar has ordered closure of the school for ten days.
NAVI MUMBAI: As many of as 16 students of Shetkari Sikshan Sanstha school at Ghansoli in Navi Mumbai have tested positive for CIVID. One of the students, whose father recently returned from Qutar, tested positive.
The student’s parent however had positive test result.
On doing COVID tests on over 800 students showed the results in all 16 turned to be positive.
In view of these developments, Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has sent the Gulf-returned man’s sample for genome sequencing.
The families of those who tested positive and the ones who came in contact with them are also being tested, to be sure.
