SAI International hosted a never-seen-before virtual cultural fest e-UNWIND.
BHUBANESHWAR, Jan 24 (the CONNECT) -SAI International hosted a never-seen-before virtual cultural fest e-UNWIND, over an immersive and lifelike virtual 3D venue. Hosted and led by the Class XI & XII students of Humanities and Commerce. e-UNWIND this year replicated the features of a physical event with other students attending from the comfort of their homes.
UNWIND, a brainchild of Founder–Chairman Dr Bijaya Kumar Sahoo, aims to render a unique learning experience for the students as it prepares the students for a promising future thereby developing an entrepreneurial mindset along with cultivating human values.
Chairperson of SAI International Education Group Dr Silpi Sahoo formally declared open e-Unwind, followed by graceful Odissi dance performance by ace Indian Odissi dancer Shri Saswat Joshi.
In all 11,250 students from Nursery to Class XII of SAI International School, SAI Angan and SAI International Residential School participated on the online platform in 6 tracks, enjoying learning from the 24 workshops, activities and competitions.
The larger-than-life pictorial island 3D virtual platform encompassed Help Desk, Track Lobby, Main Auditorium, e-Booths, Agenda and the Gaming Deck on different parts of the island.
Other than the parent and student performances a chef from Japan Chiho Nakagawa and his Team demonstrated some mouth-watering Japanese delicacies and their recipes with the participants in the cookery workshop. There were many other workshops from Tie and Dye, Get groovy (Salsa dance), Pseudobulbar for Standup Comedy, Face Painting, Film making, Mock tail and snacks cooking, Environmental Art and Art & Craft workshop by Nationally acclaimed experts to a motivational session.
Online games such as Spin the Wheel, Kahoot, Guess the Logo, Emoticon Battle, BGMI and Valorant kept the children glued to the booths.
Message oriented movie Dumbo was screened on one of the tracks of the platform.
As a part of the CSR activity warm clothes were distributed in the tribal areas of the nearby locations of Bhubaneswar–Cuttack. Holistic Parenting Awards were also presented to the achievers of 2019-20 and 2020-21 for their outstanding performance, their relentless efforts, perseverance and devotion in the CBSE Class XII Board exams and also a Stellar Achiever award was bestowed upon Goutam Das for being the state topper in JEE 2021 by getting AIR 115 in IIT-JEE (Advanced)
