HYDERABAD, June 23 (The CONNECT) -Rotary club of Jubilee Hills and Suven Life Sciences have set up a state-of-the-art paediatric heart surgery unit at Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), Hyderabad.
It is set up at an investment of Rs 4crore, CSR funds by Suven Pharma. The facility is expected to benefit 750 kids annually. The paediatric heart surgeries will be performed free of cost.
Telangana Finance and Health Minister Thanneeru Harish Rao inaugurated this fully furnished modular 6 bedded Cardiothoracic ICU, including a class-l air-conditioned isolation clean room suitable for heart transplant. The facility is equipped with high-end Heart-Lung Machine, ECHO, Nitric Oxide delivery, Bronchoscope, Infant Warmer beds to name a few.
Venkat Jasti, Chairman and MD ‘s SUVEN Pharmaceuticals Limited provided CSR funds of close to Rs 4 crores for this facility to address congenital heart diseases, prevalent in under nourished populace of rural villages.
