Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has opened COVID vaccination centres at two suburban railway stations, more soon
NAVI MUMBAI, Nov 12 (The CONNECT) - Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has opened COVID vaccination centres at two suburban railway stations to reach out to the people.
The special centres are functional at Vashi and Nerul railway stations from 9 AM to 5 PM daily.
Stepping up its drive to test-trace-and-treat and break the COVID chain, the civic body has already been conducting tests at all railway stations under its jurisdiction. NMMC administers Navi Mumbai part that is under Thane district, while the rest of the planned City that falls under Raigad district is governed by Panvel Municipal Corporation, Uran Municipal Council and majorly by the village panchayats, still, even after 50 years creating of the city as a counter-magnet to congested Mumbai.
NMMC, having achieved the target of 100% vaccination of eligible people, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation has now begun to move towards its next target – to complete the 2nd dose for all, Municipal Commissioner Abhijit Bangar has said.
People are advised to go for 2nd dose of COVISHIELD 84 days after the first. Those who has COVAXINE are required to for the 2nd shot 28 days after the first.
